Spiritual Humanist Srimanta Sankaradeva

with Assamese diaspora of USA

My Latest Book

Works of Srimanta Sankaradeva were instrumental in defining the culture of Assamese people. He was a nation builder. He brought about unity among different ethnic groups. He showed how to empower people through culture, which was used as a strong tool in his reform activities. His religious outlook was quite revolutionary. Modern ideas of Pope Francis are found to have already been spelled out by the polymath centuries ago. Concepts of SDG given by UNESCO were already executed by Srimanta Sankaradeva in medieval period itself. He was pioneer in many areas like symbolism, drama etc. His contribution extended to national sphere. His Ankiyā bhāonā were trendsetters in medieval Indian theatre. All these activities were initiated from Bardowa in middle Assam. Their impact spread in many parts of India over time. However, there are attempts to spread disinformation about him. ‘Outlook of Srimanta Sankaradeva’ covers all such interlinked issues. Overall motive of the book is to do a proper assessment of Srimanta Sankaradeva.
