My Latest Book

This book ‘Essays on Srimanta Sankaradeva’ contains several essays of mine on Srimanta Sankaradeva. It is published by Authorspress, New Delhi. The articles in the book deal with Srimanta Sankaradeva’s multi-faceted contributions, which are very relevant for the humanity. The book dwells on Srimanta Sankaradeva’s impact on the people of Assam; how he shaped the social structure of Assam; how the foundation of literature and culture of Assam were created by him. The articles analyse the features of the institutions created by the saint and also makes comparative studies with other institutions. Issues like aesthetics, feminism, philosophy, sustainable development etc, as dealt with by the saint during his life time, are also covered in the analyses.
